What is difference between the Linen Hardback and the Linen Softback?
A hardback (UK; US variant: hardcover) is a type of book bound in a cover using a thick and stiff cardboard. As the term suggests, it is more durable and tougher than the softback. Our hardback cover is 1400gsm sturdy.
Conversely, a softback (UK; US variant: softcover) is a type of book bound in a thinner and more flexible cardboard. Although the term is generally interchangeable with the paperback, in our case, the Paperback is our thinnest card cover at 300gsm. Instead, we refer to our 500gsm art card cover as the Softback, as it strikes the appropriate balance for that lightweight yet protective feel.
Both the Hardback and Softback are wrapped in cosy linen for an added class.
Can I use any kind of pen to mark on your notebook paper?
Bring it on! Summorie paper is 100gsm acid-free and smooth AF.
Where are your products from?
Our notebooks are proudly made in Malaysia, using high-quality material imported from Netherland, the UK, and Sweden.
How can I pay you?
You may pay with your credit card, via the PayPal gateway. We also offer direct online transfer via eGHL Payment Gateway for customers based in Malaysia.
PayPal will convert the payment currency automatically, based on the current rate for MYR. You may contact PayPal directly for more details about how they determine their currency conversion rates and fees.
What countries do you ship to?
We ship our products from Malaysia to most places on Earth. But, there might be some restriction on certain countries (because politics, or geography).
However, we will try our very best to make sure you get what you paid for. In fact, if the delivery guy is facing some issue, you will surely hear from us. But this is unlikely as we use registered or traceable and insured postage to keep your packages on track.
For Russia, we can ship the order to your workplace or school. (Just in time for you to prep for the next big conference or exam!)
But, alas, Israel, we are not meant to be. Our government still has some beef with each other. (Maybe one of your neighbours can help you out?)

Can you send my stuff to me for free?
Yes — if you will spend more than USD30, and are within Malaysia.
Outside Malaysia? Spend more than USD100 and we will lower the shipping cost for you. (Yay!)

How can I find out my order status?
Once we have packed your order, we will email you a tracking link and code, so you may do your sleuthing work like an expectant owner of quality stationery would.
My delivery will be international. Will I be charged customs and import taxes?
If you are the recipient of the delivery, yes. The recipient of the package will be responsible for all associated taxes, duties and customs fees. The fees vary, depending on the country and the regulation, and are unfortunately out of our hands.
So, we can’t advise you on the levy amount, and won’t be reimbursing you for it. Please understand that this charge is to release your order from customs upon arrival.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, you can but you must to inform us at email@example.com within 24 hours from the time you placed the order. (We will be watching the clock.)
Once we have changed or cancelled your order, simply follow the instructions in our answer for next question below.
Please note that we won’t alter orders involving personalised or customised products. (Try eBay or Carousell if you really need that cash back. Someone else might like that book title you gave!)
What is your return policy?
So, you have changed your mind, and you want to return your product or exchange it for something else. That’s okay, because such is life.
Our condition is that you return the product in its original, unused and unopened condition (sorry, testing is not allowed to help you make up your mind!) within 14 working days of receiving it. After we have received and deemed this item to be acceptable, we will credit the charge to your original method of payment within 14 working days, excluding the shipping cost which is non-refundable.
• It matters to us that the stuff you’re exchanging or returning remain in the original protective packaging (with the shrink wrap). You'll return the items in the same immaculate condition you had received them in, like the responsible person you are.
• We won’t accept returns of any item with personalisation or customisation. We have no need for your autograph, thank you.
• We won’t make refunds for sale items. But you can still make exchanges for them.
• You will pay for all shipping costs for any exchange or return. May we suggest for you to use an insured shipping service which provides a tracking number, as we are not liable for any loss, damage or delay of the stuff you are returning or exchanging.
• Even if the above conditions are met, we reserve the right not to process any return or refund.
How do I return my purchase?

The goods must be returned, as per our return policy, with the original dispatch note and a returns form.
Can I add or deduct any items after my order has been made? Please?
We know inspiration can be a fickle fairy, and it's tempting to make your order more perfect with a last-minute edit.
But once your order is made, our system processes it immediately, making it impossible for us to just slip anything in or out.
An easier way around this is to make a new shopping list.
The item that I received is faulty or damaged. :(
That’s embarrassing; please allow us to correct that mistake. Simply email us at email@example.com within 14 days of receiving that item with the following information:
a. Your full name
b. Shipping address
c. Order number
d. A clear photo of the allegedly faulty goods
e. A brief detailed description of the damage

We will email you once we have received your item, and will process the order accordingly. Don’t worry, be happy.
How come the product that I receive looks different than the image on the website?
Rest assured, we always do what we can to match the quality of our products to what you see on the website. However, the colours on different computer screens might vary (slightly) with the actual products. (So it could just be your computer screen resolution that needs tweaking, just saying.)
Let us know anyway, and we will try our best to minimise the variance between the product image with the actual products.
How can I make my notebook unique to me?
You can choose to monogram the notebook cover with any title of up to ten uppercase characters (Roman alphabet). It doesn’t even have to be your own name.
Go on, be creative. We won’t judge.

What colours can you monogram with?
For foil stamping, you may choose from silver, rose gold and gold. Or you can choose to have the monogram blind debossed.

Get the Linen Hardback or Linen Softback, and we’ll do it for you — on the house; get the Paperback, and we’ll do it for an additional USD 3 per name.
When can I get my personalised product?
Higher-quality work demands more time. Please add another 2-3 working days to the standard shipping time for any personalised product orders.
I dislike the monogram. Can I return this notebook, or exchange it for something else?
Nope. Hours and sweat were poured into crafting something to suit your unique identity; so if there is no identifiable fault with the monogram, we must respectfully decline.
Can I change my monogram … after I have made my purchase?
Yes, but you must contact us, stat! Check on the order status with firstname.lastname@example.org ASAP, within 24 hours of the same working day.
If the monogram is yet to be stamped, we can change it for you. (Phew!)
My monogram is faulty! Can you please replace it?
Oh, dear, of course we would! We will replace the item with the faulty monogram with the corrected version. (That is, if we're talking about a real typo. However, if you want a different title instead, please make a different purchase altogether.)

What is the minimum order for customised books?
How can I customise my notebook? Which other Summorie products can you customise for me?
Lined, dotted, ruled or all? Pick your page layout(s), or add your strokes of genius — we will fix it to your taste.
Got logo? Flaunt it on the cover: make your mark on chic linen with a hot foil stamp, or do it paperback cool with an illustration designed by you.
Can I have a notebook sample?
Once your order is confirmed, you may inspect a complimentary prototype before we send your order for production.
As the prototype is handmade with digital printing, its pages may differ from the actual print, which page content is laid out using an offset printer.
How long will the customisation take?
Around 3-4 weeks of production time.
What is the price for customisation?
Depending on your customisation request. We will require half of the total amount to be paid upfront prior to production, and full payment upon delivery.
Also, sometimes, we may need a printing plate to bring out the genius of your artwork. Depending on the design, a plate may cost between USD50 to USD100.
What is a printing plate?
An intermediate image carrier used on a printing press to transfer the image from the film to a digital file to the substrate.
